Training
Training of young colts includes over
60 hours of handling in the first 30 days of their training program. Horses in all
stages of training are taught with resistance-free methods and are encouraged to
carry themselves comfortably throughout the training process. All methods used and
taught are approved by the American Association for Horsemanship Saftey, Inc., and
are conducted in a safe and controlled environment. Training at The Hunter Barn
includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Colt Starting, Foundation Training, Finishing
- Full Training / Care Services for Retirement & Layups
- Lessons / Clinics
